Sandflakes
Location: St. Lucia, South Africa
Description: Sand accumulates on the base of an African sunflower. On the beaches of St. Lucia in South Africa, many wild sunflowers line the sand dunes. While the beaches appear welcoming, it is not advisable to swim in certain areas. The St. Lucia estuary is famous for hippos and crocodiles, and the crocodiles have learned to swim in the ocean’s salt water.
