Eyeing the Harvest

Location: Udzungwa Mountains National Park, Tanzania
Description: Local family farms are located right along the boundary of Udzungwa Mountains National Park, with the only existing buffer zone being a small dirt road. For the baboons living along this park boundary, the grains and vegetables growing in these farms are prime food. Quite commonly, you will witness baboons bounding into the farms and stealing the harvest. Not surprisingly, the baboons are often the target of human-wildlife conflict at the park.
